JurongHealth Campus Good Neighbours’ Day
Our staff were cordially invited to participate in JCH’s Good Neighbours’ Day at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. We had the opportunity to share more about our programmes and efforts with well-wishers and prospective volunteers! Beyond our booth, we are also deeply grateful to be the sole beneficiary of the groceries and non-food items donated by JCH. These will go a long way in benefitting our monthly Food Gift+ service users.

Free TCM Clinic Going Digital!
In the process of digitalisation, our service ambassadors are also picking up on their digital skills while we transit onto an online booking system at the Free TCM Clinic. At 72 years old, Mdm Kang, who has been with us since 2011, has displayed keenness in upgrading her digital skills. Despite her being unfamiliar with desktop computer, she has managed to pick up the necessary skills and weaved it into her routine. She has improved so much that she is even able to coach fellow ambassadors during their On Job Training. She is a good example of lifelong learning.
Kudos to all our service ambassadors!

Free breakfast Scheme
Free Breakfast Scheme is a ground up effort first mooted by Ms Joyce Yu, a resident in Jurong Central. Joyce saw how Covid-19 is disrupting life and impacted on the livelihood of the less fortunate members in the community.
Together with her friends, Joyce reaches out to Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong), proposing to offer the scheme to residents who will benefit from the effort. We worked quickly with our Grassroots partners (to identify and register recipients), get in touch with food stores operating out from the N4 Neighborhood Centre (opposite Jurong Green CC), and successfully rolled out our first sets of breakfast on 9 April 2020.
The Scheme has since served more than 3,200 packs of breakfast to residents in both Jurong Spring and Jurong Central, and will continue to support our community for the extended period of the circuit breaker.
